The Sudanese Communist Party mocked the Central Council for Freedom and Change’s announcement of the formation of the transitional government before the upcoming month of Ramadan, and stressed the need to drop all plans of blood partnership between civilians and the military, pointing to previous experiences that led to the formation of a government, but without the control of the civil forces.
The official spokesman for the party, Fathi Fadl, said in a statement to (African Meters), “Is it the duty of the political process to work on resolving contentious issues such as justice, security reform, and the removal of the army from politics, or to form a government, defining that what is happening will not achieve anything and that the formation of any government now will not bring about change In the country, this is due to the fact that the generals are the ones who run the situation.
Fadl indicated that the focus now is to overthrow the coup alone through the continuation of the revolutionary movement, and stressed the need to drop all plans that aim to restore what he described as a blood partnership between the military and civilians, and called for work on the unity of the revolutionary forces in order to bring down the military coup.
